Pour boiling water into a mug and let sit for about 20 seconds. Empty the water and put one tablespoon full of the virgin coconut oil in it. It melts quickly as you stir in one tablespoonful of cocoa powder and a pinch of Himalayan salt. Use a minimum of 1/4 tsp. of whole organic sugar to cut the bitterness of the cocoa and then add stevia drops to taste. Usually about 12 drops. Pour boiling water in the cup, stir, and add cream or milk to taste. This makes a great treat very quickly. Other sweeteners can be used.

How many carbs in the hot cocoa recipe? Thanks,

We enjoy adding a couple of tablespoons of the Coconut Cream Concentrate to our hot cocoa.

I tried you cocoa recipe and it was just delicious. When the grandchildren visit I will definitely be making this for them. I used 1 tsp of xylitol as a sweetener for this.

Thank you

Any sort of artificial sweetener will negate the amazing affects of the coconut oil in this delicious recipe. Artificial sweeteners are amazingly HORRIBLE for you and will not help anything you are trying to accomplish. Do some research on them and then go buy organic raw sugar.

Try sweetening with agave nectar. It is very good that way.

amazingly yummy! I used stevia, which is an all natural sweetener. I have agave as well and will try that next time. Delicious either way

I used 2 tbs. of OVAlTINE which contains it's own sweetner so you dont have to fuss. Muy delisioso!!

This sounds delicious...I'm going to make it right now. I'm not a big coffee drinker but I'm a sucker for cocoa!

Just mixed a tbsp of the oil with a packet of hot cocoa mix.
Thumbs up, a delicious easy way to work some coconut oil into my diet. Next time will try cocoa powder + stevia.

I prefer this with just the rich organic coco powder and the coconut oil. NO SWEETNERS. the sweets makes it much harder for the coconut oil to clean the liver, and the purpose of drinking this is to improve my health. but it is your choice if you want the sweets.

I just thought I'd let everybody know that agave nectar is not good for you!

No.. the agave is not good for us.
And RAW Sugar is SUGAR.
Use the plant-based Stevia in one of its several forms.
I just found this blog and it is great!

I love this recipe because its so simple. I usually have all these ingredients on hand. I added a pastured egg to mine and blended it with a stick blender. I absolutely love it :) Thanks for sharing your simple yet delicious recipe.
