Hi...Im a newbie to coconut oil and coconut water....unfortunately for now I am using the canned variety of coconut water in my smoothies which gives a lovely creamy texture but little coconut flavor. I just recieved my coconut oil so I added that to my smoothies....better flavor but because I am mixing cold with ice I get tiny little bits of solid coconut oil.....any suggestions to mix better? I must say the oil adds a lovely flavor! Even though I am new to the oil, I have tried just licking some off the spoon and its not bad, just an aquired taste. It does have a sort of buttery backnote so I will try it on a piece of toast as a spread and see what I think. Any suggestions or tips you can offer would be great!

thanks!

Hi Andrea!

For cold drinks like smoothies you melt the coconut oil first, then with the blender running pour the melted oil in slowly until it's all used up. This will incorporate the oil into the drink without creating little chunks.

Hey,
Great recipe!
- Just wondering though.... How many teaspoons of liquid coconut oil would be equivalent to one teaspoon of hard coconut oil? Any ideas?
Thank :)

That's what I get for not reading the full instructions before making my smoothie! The flavor of this is amazing. But definitely make sure you soak the first three ingredients as instructed or your smoothie will be gritty. I also used almond milk
