Preparation Time: 15 prep, 3 hours chill

Measure orange juice; add a little water or more juice to equal 1/2 cup. Put the orange juice, zest (should be about 1 tablespoon), honey, coconut oil, cocoa, avocados, vanilla, and salt in a blender or food processor. Run on high for 1-2 minutes, until smooth.

Pour into prepared crust. Cover and refrigerate 2-3 hours until set. Let stand at room temperature 20-30 minutes before serving for softer texture.

Serve with a drizzle of fudge sauce and some whipped cream.

This pie can be frozen and thawed without messing up the texture.

This is the most delicious pie/mousse ever! I made it without crust so it could qualify as a paleo food. I also made it a second time with peppermint extract instead of the orange. I have given away several pieces and people can't believe that there is avocado in it. By the way, I figured it up to be 250 per slice when sliced into 8 pieces. That was with the extract so there are a few more calories with the orange juice. Scrumptious!

ok, it is official... I am IN LOVE with this pie. My latest variation is replacing the orange juice with water. I then made the recipe and put it into the pie plate. I melted 1/4 cup coconut peanut butter and swirled it in. OMGoodness! I am in heaven!!!

Oh my....I almost wish I hadn't made this!!! Probably the best pie I've ever had!! I made a crust with almonds and coconut oil. Just fabulous. I'm now dreaming of all the possibilities!

Fi, I don't really think there is a substitute for the avocados because they are what make this pie/mousse so smooth and creamy. I would be interested to see if anyone else can think of a sub for it.
