USE FROZEN BANANAS! Otherwise it won't be thick like a milk shake. Sorry for the error! Enjoy! :)

Any suggestion on what to substitue for the the egg? I am vegan.

I'd not bother substituting anything for the egg. When I make smoothies I make them non-dairy, and as far as I am concerned there's no flavor difference with egg vs without.

I have found that one avocado put into a banana smoothie really makes it tasty and creamy, maybe you'd want to try that.

The egg is optional. You do not really have to use it. It will taste just as good without it. Hope this helps! :)

I am new to the Paleo diet and am wondering how one should use the solid coconut oil when the recipe says to add it drop by drop. Should I melt and cool it? Yummy stuff for sure. Thank you.

Charlotte, You really don't need to melt it but if it is not very soft it can leave little clumps in your smoothie. Some of my kids like the clumps, some don't. If you melt it then let it cool a little. Hope you enjoy it!
